IT services engineered to hold

Most systems are built for the launch.
We build for what happens after.

Heslington Forge delivers cloud, application, data and quality engineering that holds up under years of real use — at a fraction of the cost of a legacy integrator, without the churn of a rotating contractor pool.

What we take off your plate

Six practices, one accountable team. Take one or take the lot — we don't sell seats you don't need.

Cloud & platform

Migrate, re-architect and run your infrastructure without the surprise bill at the end of the quarter.

  • AWS, Azure and GCP landing zones
  • Kubernetes and container platforms
  • Cost and capacity tuning

Application engineering

Product teams that ship — web, mobile and the integration work nobody else wants to own.

  • Greenfield builds and rewrites
  • Legacy modernisation
  • API and integration layers

Data & analytics

Pipelines that hold up, and reporting your finance team will actually trust on a Monday morning.

  • Warehouse and lakehouse builds
  • Pipeline reliability
  • Dashboards and reporting

Quality engineering

Test automation that catches real defects, not a suite everyone has quietly learned to ignore.

  • Automation frameworks
  • Performance and load testing
  • Release and environment strategy

Managed IT & support

Day-two ownership: monitoring, patching, incidents and a service desk that answers.

  • L1–L3 support
  • Monitoring and on-call
  • Patching and compliance

AI enablement

Automation where it pays back, with the governance to keep your data where it belongs.

  • Use-case selection and pilots
  • Workflow automation
  • Guardrails and review

Why the name

In 2008, archaeologists near the village of Heslington in Yorkshire uncovered a skull dating back to the Iron Age. Almost everything inside it had decayed the way soft tissue does. One thing hadn't: the brain — the oldest preserved human brain ever found in Eurasia, its folds and structure still intact after roughly 2,600 years.

Most things don't survive contact with time. The thinking did. That's the standard we hold our own work to — not the cleverest build on launch day, but the one still doing its job years later, forged to outlast the project it was built for.

How an engagement runs

Four stages. You can stop after any of them and keep everything we built.

Stage one

Assess

Two weeks inside your backlog, systems and costs. You get a ranked list and an honest read on what to drop.

Stage two

Prove

We build the highest-value slice end to end and put it in front of real users before you commit further.

Stage three

Scale

A dedicated pod extends the work, with your engineers embedded so the knowledge stays with you.

Stage four

Run

We take support and on-call, or hand over to your team with the runbooks written.

They didn't just ship the rewrite. Two years later it's still the system nobody's talking about replacing. That's the compliment we didn't expect to give.
